About DEN Dezign

Hello, I’m Devan Nixon - founder of DEN Dezign.

My work lives at the intersection of art, design, and storytelling.

Inspired by nature, mid-century forms, and vintage charm, I bring a thoughtful, hands-on approach to everything I create, from brand identities and websites to painted murals and surface pattern collections. The throughline is always the same: curiosity, texture, and a love for the details that make something feel human.

DEN Dezign is a creative studio rooted in intention and guided by observation. Much of my work begins offline, in sketchbooks, with paint on paper, or through slow noticing. Whether I’m building a repeating print from a loose scribble, designing a magazine layout, or crafting visual stories for a small business, I’m drawn to tone, feeling, and the quiet moments that shape the final piece.

I believe, much like Helena Bonham Carter once said, that art is everywhere, how we move through life, the stories we tell, and the objects we choose to live with. My process is deeply tactile and emotionally led, grounded in observation and shaped by intuition. I’ve completed Bonnie Christine’s Surface Design Immersion, bringing that same narrative lens into every corner of my work.

At DEN Dezign, it’s never about a single medium. It’s about creating visuals that feel lived-in, beautifully made, and full of meaning.
